===v0.1.32 - 08/12/2011 14:21===

Added:
  • Added a "Message of the Day" which is shown the first time that a player enters a zone in that particular client session.
  • The construction project block bucket has been updated:
    • The bucket can be switched between minimised, two column, and four column modes.
    • Blocks can be filtered by type (walls, floor, roof, and furniture)
  • Added new death sounds for all inkling NPCs.
  • Avatar changes should now be saved immediately from within the lobby, without the need to enter a zone.
  • Open loot container dialogues now automatically close when the player moves outside of interaction range.

Fixed:
  • The transition between avatar changes now occurs when the new avatar has finished loading, so players will no longer flicker in and out of existence.
  • The medieval world minimap now accurately reflects the present state of the zone.
  • The context-sensitive cursors now feature an arrow to make them more pointer-like, when in full replacement mode.
  • Fixed a potential bug with destroying audio sources when changing scenes.

Known issues:
  • Colourable avatars appear white and corrupted on mac standalone, and mac webplayer.
  • The minimap uses an old world design and is somewhat out-of-date.
  • If a player uses Alt+Enter to toggle windowed mode, the video options menu will not be correctly updated to reflect this.
  • During zone loading, if all nearby assets have finished loading before all server messages have been processed, the loading bar will only get to halfway then jump straight into the game.
  • Clicking repeatedly and rapidly on a target will cause multiple target rings to be spawned on them, which persist even when they are de-targeted.
  • If the player takes a hostile action after their PVP-flag button has been re-enabled, the button will remain enabled but will not work until another period of combat-free time has elapsed.
  • Dragged items will occasionally stick to the cursor instead of being dropped.
  • NPCs and other players are visible through billboarded trees.
  • Chat box selection is a bit wayward on lower resolutions.
  • Dead reckoning is jittery.
  • Mac water shader is broken after Unity 3.4.
  • When the UI is scaled down, tooltips will occasionally 'bump' into false screen edges.
  • Alt-tabbing out and back into the game, will sometimes cause mouselook to be stuck on.
  • Dead reckoning looks a bit iffy when a character is falling.

===v0.1.31 - 02/12/2011 23:24===

Added:
  • The medieval zone has undergone a significant redesign:
    • The starting/entry point has been moved to a village on the northern coast.
    • Monster and friendly NPC spawns have been repositioned to provide a better flow for levelling.
    • Certain areas of the terrain have been modified to funnel the player more sensibly as he progresses through the levels.
  • The cosmetic menu is now also available while in the lobby.
  • The cosmetic menu now only shows the avatars that are unlocked for the current player.
  • The player can now use the cosmetic menu to change their avatar (and custom colouring if applicable).
  • Emotes can be employed using slash commands: /angry, /cheeky, /cry, /cool, /frown, /happy, /scared, /shy, /smile, /wink.
  • Emotes can also be used via buttons in the top right of the chat log.
  • Resolution and windowed mode can now be modified inside the video options menu.

  • Players aren't grounded to the floor constantly in the tutorial
  • Updated text on buttons in tutorial
  • Tutorial doesn't advance until the inventory has been closed on tasks requiring the player to equip something

Fixed:
  • Fixed a bug where the server was telling the client to load a terrain twice, resulting in overly bright ground textures.
  • Rotated camera positions will no longer reset when one of the WASD keys is typed into the chat box.
  • The chat and combat/console logs will now resize correctly when the screen resolution changes.
  • Fixed the default horizontal scrollbar appearing in the chat log.
  • 2nd enemy in tutorial can now only be harmed by chop skill

Known issues:
  • Colorable avatars appear white and corrupted on mac standalone, and mac webplayer.
  • The minimap uses an old world design and is somewhat out-of-date.

  • During zone loading, if all nearby assets have finished loading before all server messages have been processed, the loading bar will only get to halfway then jump straight into the game.

v0.2.2 - 17/02/2012 15:21

Added:

  • Improved the medieval starting village scenery.
  • The lobby doors are now operated by right-clicking on them as with in-world objects, and confirming your destination.
  • Added the early stages of the Viking zone, which can be accessed via the Explore door in the lobby. Currently this is terrain only for exploring and testing purposes. No scenery objects or NPCs are currently present.
  • Added a take all button to loot containers.
  • Modified the targeting system:
    • The Detarget All key bind is now Cancel; this clears the hostile target first, and then the friendly target on a second press.
    • If no targets are selected, then Cancel performs the same function as the Menu Toggle key bind.
    • Any target (or both simultaneously) can now be cleared by clicking on any space that is not occupied by another targetable object.
    • Sticky targeting can be turned on via the gameplay options menu, which disables clearing targets by clicking in space.
  • The quest tracker can now be toggled via an option in the gameplay settings menu.
  • Quests are now automatically tracked when accepted; this can be toggled off in the gameplay settings menu.
  • Increased the number of quests that can be tracked from 5 to 6.
  • Added support for object-based sound. Fires, fountains, cauldrons and bubbling swamps now make noise when in range.
  • Added a quest item thumbnail icon as part of the quest description (only for quests that involve an item).
  • Tooltips now support text descriptions for both skills and items.
  • Tooltips now resize dynamically to best fit their content.
  • Added setting for tooltip display speed.
  • Added secondary tooltips for items with skills, that display detail of the skills without having to equip them.
  • Added an option to toggle secondary tooltips, and vary the speed at which they display. These are disabled by default.
  • Added text descriptions for skills, and some flavour text on certain items.
  • Updated the way user settings are handled and saved:
    • Each setting now has its own individual registry entry.
    • Any settings saved under the old system should be transferred into the new system, and then cleaned up.
    • Optimized mutiple aspects of the settings saving procedure so performance is less impacted.

Fixed:

  • Earth Shatter now no longer requires a target.
  • Rebalanced some skills slightly.
  • Tooltips now appear offset from the mouse cursor, and do not move once appeared, making the information on them more visible.
  • The quest tracker now no longer appears while in construction mode.
  • Fixed a bug where NPCs were not resetting from combat properly, leaving them unattackable.
  • Fixed being able to click through the top bar, the minimap and the target frames.
  • Fixed a bug where exiting to the lobby while typing, or rebinding keys, would result in keys remaining disabled.
  • Standardised the code for all tooltips so that it's tidier, and easier to modify and re-use.
  • Fixed an exception being thrown while the custom cursor is turned off.
  • Fixed a bug where disabling the custom cursor didn't allow you to interact with any object.

Known issues:

  • Quest tracker status is not preserved between client sessions.
  • Emotes sometimes do not appear when used.
  • If a player uses Alt+Enter to toggle windowed mode, the video options menu will not be correctly updated to reflect this.
  • NPCs and other players are visible through billboarded trees.
  • Chat box selection is a bit wayward on lower resolutions.
  • When the UI is scaled down, tooltips will occasionally 'bump' into false screen edges.
  • Alt-tabbing out and back into the game, will sometimes cause mouselook to be stuck on.

v0.2.3 - 05/03/2012 13:19

Added:

  • When logging in, players now have the option to go to their last location, or to login straight to their lobby.
  • Added a social section to the book.
  • Added a friends page within the social section:
    • Nearby players can be sent a friend request or blocked by targeting them and right-clicking on their portrait in the upper left, to open the target sub menu.
    • Players that aren't present, or are offline can be sent a friend request or blocked via the chat commands /friend <name> and /block <name>.
    • Incoming and outgoing friend requests are shown in the friends list and can be accepted, declined, or retracted accordingly.
    • Once a request is accepted, both players will see additional info about their new friend in their friends lists.
    • Blocking a player does not require confirmation like a friend request.
    • Players can be unfriended or unblocked by selecting them in the friends or blocked list, and clicking the appropriate button on the right hand page.
    • Chat commands /unfriend <name> and /unblock <name> are also available to mirror functionality of buttons in the friends section.
  • Added a mail page within the social section:
    • Mail received is shown on the left hand side, in read and unread states.
    • Selecting a mail on the left will show the body of the message in the right hand page, along with an option to delete the mail.
    • New mail can be composed by clicking on the Compose Mail button in the bottom left.
    • Mail requires a valid player name, and either a subject or a body to be sent.

  • Fixed performance issues in scrolling list in asset bundle exporter
  • Scenes can now be included and excluded from builds in the custom build panel
  • Glowing corners on build zones no longer z-fight with blocks placed in the corners

Known issues:

  • The compose mail text fields and the chat box interfere slightly with the functionality of each other i.e. tabbing, hitting return.
  • Quest tracker status is not preserved between client sessions.
  • Emotes sometimes do not appear when used.
  • If a player uses Alt+Enter to toggle windowed mode, the video options menu will not be correctly updated to reflect this.
  • Clicking repeatedly and rapidly on a target will cause multiple target rings to be spawned on them, which persist even when they are de-targeted.

v0.2.4 - 09/03/2012 17:19

  • The send button on the compose mail page is disabled until the recipient field, and at least a subject or body are filled in.
  • The send button is also disabled after receiving an error message from the mail script, until the error is fixed accordingly.
  • NPCs can now come with elite status, signified by a more ornate target frame in the top left. These NPCs are noticeably more powerful than a regular NPC of the same level.
  • NPC levels, as indicated on their target frame, are colour-coded to indicate the difficulty they are likely to pose to the player, in the following order: grey, green, yellow, orange, red, and finally a skull.

Fixed:

  • Quests with visit or courier tasks, e.g. Druid Fluid, should now display as complete when all that remains is to return to the NPC that completes the quest.
